Photography has become more than just a hobby for me. It is a way of seeing the world, connecting with people, and preserving moments that might otherwise be forgotten. My journey into photography did not begin with expensive equipment or professional training. It started with a simple curiosity about people, their emotions, and the stories hidden behind every face.

As someone who works closely with people and spends time exploring different places, I found myself naturally drawn to photography. Every person I met had a unique story, every smile carried a memory, and every expression reflected a different chapter of life. I realized that a photograph could capture these moments in a way that words sometimes cannot.

Portrait photography quickly became my favourite style. I enjoy taking portraits because they allow me to focus on the individual and tell their story through a single image. A portrait is not just about how someone looks — it is about who they are. The eyes, the smile, the posture, and even the silence in a photograph can reveal emotions, experiences, and dreams. Every portrait becomes a conversation between the photographer, the subject, and the viewer.

Over time, photography taught me to be more patient and observant. Instead of simply looking at people, I learned to truly see them. I began paying attention to small details, genuine emotions, and natural moments that often go unnoticed. These are the moments that create powerful photographs and lasting memories.

My work as a certified tour guide has also influenced my photography journey. Travelling across Bhutan, guiding visitors through breathtaking landscapes, historic sites, and cultural experiences has given me countless opportunities to capture both people and places. Whether it is a traveller experiencing Bhutan for the first time, a local elder sharing stories, or a child smiling during a festival, each photograph becomes a visual record of a meaningful moment.

Photography continues to inspire me because it allows me to connect with people from different backgrounds. Every portrait I take is unique because every person has a different story to tell. Through my camera, I aim to capture authenticity, emotion, and the beauty of human experiences.

Today, photography is an important part of my life. It is not just about taking pictures — it is about preserving stories, celebrating individuality, and creating memories that can be cherished for years to come. My journey is still ongoing, and with every portrait I capture, I continue to learn, grow, and discover new stories waiting to be told.
